About Blahgah Jewellery

At the beginning on 2012 I decided my evenings were being wasted. I decided to pick up a new hobby. Having always been a creative person, studying Art and Textiles at college, I decided to play around with jewellery making. I quickly made more jewellery than I could ever wear myself and started to give pieces away to friends and family. Friends started to approach me, asking to buy pieces and that's when I realised I could turn this into more than a hobby. So far, I've been amazed with the response. I set up an etsy page where I sell my pieces and regularly update my twitter and instagram page with regular pieces. I have sold at a charity fun day in 2012 and have taught jewellery making to a local brownies group. So far this hobby has turned into so much more than I had hoped!

Well this is new...

So as I sit here on a snowy Sunday evening, I have signed up to the world of blogging. If I'm honest, blogging is completely new and scares me greatly. But I think I've set up the basics. And with any luck this first entry with post properly. So why have I joined? Well since I've joined the world of jewellery making I've thrown myself into the world of instagram and twitter to promote my pieces. So naturally, a blog to go with my creations, detailing my processes and inspirations comes next. I plan to share my D.I.Y projects, new creations, what I love, what I hate and much more.
